What is the turnover rate of rental apartments in New York City?

I'm looking for the most recent monthly or annual rate of turnover for rental apartment units in NYC. If you can find it by borough, that would be great too. Either the percentage or numerical value will work! Thanks!

1. I doubt any one agent knows this, as there is not one governing board. NYC is not like the rest of the country, NYC has a housing shortage. I doubt the turnover is more then 5%. This is just an educated guess though.
2. It depends. A lot of people have sublets, or are rent controled, and most people don't leave those. Ever, they sublet them out, leave them to a child, etc, from what I understand. So the turnovers on rent control is probably very low. On other apartments, it's probably about the same as any other state, and it depends on people losing their jobs, transferring to other states, etc.
